Get your snorkels on and hit the water these summer holidays to take part in the Eyre Peninsula’s biggest ‘Immerse Yourself in a Marine Park’ program to date. Locals and visitors are invited to four family friendly events and marine discovery displays, hosted by Natural Resources Eyre Peninsula, as part of the Department for Environment and Water’s state-wide Immerse Yourself program in January.

More than 130 reception to year seven students from Tumby Bay Area and Cleve Area Schools have helped Natural Resources Eyre Peninsula to propagate 3800 local Blue Gum tube stock, as well as other associated native plant species.

Lincoln National Park will be abuzz with activities this December as the park once again features as the Department for Environment and Water’s statewide ‘Park of the Month’. A host of activities are planned including activities to explore the coast, taking a self-guided drive, bushwalking, or joining rangers for a guided, family ‘Beach Bingo’ event.

Eyre Peninsula Natural Resources Management Board has received $380,000 for the Regenerative Agriculture Program (RAP) from the Australian Government Regional Land Partnerships Program. The RAP will deliver projects at a local level in partnership with groups to help farmers improve their productivity. The program will focus on helping farmers adapt to growing markets by demonstrating sustainable management practice credentials. Regenerative Agriculture Project Officer Mary Crawford is experienced in sustainable farming on the Eyre Peninsula having worked with the local farmers and industry partners for over 10 years.
